So here is a what if scenario. What if one of these shows like River Monsters did an episode where they spent a long time in an area looking for the biggest bass they could possibly catch. They are using similar time frames and resources that put the show in an area for as long as it takes to catch a 20+. Where would they go and what would they use? Japan? Mexico? Cuba? Florida? California? crappie minnow at Fork?

20lbers can't be bought. There are plenty of guys in CA who have spent countless hours on the highest probability lakes who have never broke 20lbs. Few of these fish exist and the only way to come by them is a whole lot of perseverance and then a lifetime of luck.

Biwa or California trout lakes (big Swimbaits or sight fishing for artificial). I wouldn't waste time or resources anywhere else if you are specifically looking for a 20+ lb fish. That's probably the only two places they exist anymore.

I love this idea!!
Sign me up- I will play the role of Jeremy!!
I do think it would be a 12-13lb bass as a goal- wouldn't be realistic otherwise.
Some of his monsters were actually about 10 lb size class for whatever species he targeted.

You just have to think there are some areas that have untouched water in the middle of the jungle. It's fun to think about.

12-13 could happen pretty easily IMO on certain lakes in Texas. I'm talking about dropping in a 21' basscat by helicopter and fishing a big live tilapia for months until the biggest bass in the jungle came to eat!

That's funny. Would love to see the helicopter/ boat drop thing.
Jeremy must have some autistic traits that allow him to sit there for weeks with no bites except malaria carrying mosquitoes and crocodiles. I guess that part would be easier in Texas...

It would probably be as staged as the show is now. River monsters on a fly rod??? Come on.
