Anyone ever stay at this motel by Sam Rayburn Cassel Boykin park? How are the rooms, etc...?

I have stayed there. Clean rooms. They do not make the beds everyday but have fresh towels. Nothing fancy. Good people run the place. Plus you can get a good hamburger at the store as well.

Under new ownership. I would definitely recommend. If you're looking for somewhere to eat, it's hard to beat the Dairy Mart in Broaddus.

Stayed there last October for five days....Close to ramp, clean rooms, great burgers, tackle and fine folks.
WORK HARD.....FISH HARDER!

I've stayed there many times, it's not fancy but you're not there for anything but a hot shower and a bed anyway. One of the best cheeseburgers around, if you let them talk you into a double, be ready, it's a full pound.

Good place to stay. Like others said its nothing fancy but its clean and the store/ restaurant does have some good eats. I had them make me a breakfast sandwich last time I was there and I bet it had 1/2lb of bacon on it!
You cant beat the area of the lake that its in and rates are cheap. Like $70 night cash and goes down to $60 per night for 2 to 5 nights then goes to $50 per night.
I bought an RV that was set up in their RV Park and plan on being there the week of July 4th.
