What do y'all prefer for deep summertime fish that can't get back down after being caught? Also is there anywhere locally (DFW) that sells fizz needles/fin clips or is it best to just buy on TW. Thanks

Ultimately, I believe fizzing works better. It's easier to keep them alive if you fizz them correctly.

This works much better if you are returning them to the lake right after you catch them. I have one rigged up on a marker bout.

Fizzing, but if you can't find the fizz needle in the tackle box you can use a marker buoy weight.
Either bend the bar type weight onto the lower lip, just snug enough that with a strong pull, it releases
or use a torpedo weight, similar to the one pictured above.

See video at 12:22 for demonstration

Fizzing is actually very simple and works well. Just watch a couple of videos on it. I prefer the through the mouth method.

# 18 needle 1" long for mouth fizzing ..take an ink pen, pull out the pen part and super glue the hollow plastic tube to the needle.

# 18 needle 2" long for side fizzing.

How many feet deep does a bass have to be caught to need to be fizzed?

Ballpark 25ft +
You'll know by how it behaves when reeling it in at the surface and when you go to release the fish (swimming on its side)
