Lake Palestine | Father's day Beating

Today I had the privilege to fish with Jeff, Terry and their dad Horace.

Jeff and Terry booked a trip for their 81 year old dad Horace for father's day. Today started out a little slow, a few here a few there. I made the decision to go south to check some piles, and boy i'm glad we did!

We hit three piles and these boys put a whooping on them. Jeff was on fire, right when i would put a fish on ice I would turn around and he would have another.

Really enjoyed seeing these sons fish with their dad today. Making life long memories.

Seven of the fish were a pound and three quarters.

The guys ended the day with a three man limit, 75 nice crappie!

Thanks for the conversations at the end of the day, I enjoyed it!

Happy Father's Day!

Wish my dad was still here to fish with. I'd give my right arm to have one more fishing trip with him.

Me too. This August 3rd will be five years that God needed him in heaven. I know he is with me and watching over me every fishing trip I take.
Columbus took a chance and he made it.

My Dad and Brother and I had an unforgettable trip with Mark this past Friday.
We wanted to take our Dad on a special Fathers Day fishing trip, the boat I currently fish out of does not fish three comfortably. I also was reluctant to hiring a guide because I have been fishing ever since I was old enough to walk and I am tight with my money.
But let me tell you, not only did we make a memory that all 3 of us will take to our grave, I took away some valuable knowledge that will defiantly make me a better crappie fisherman. I'm currently working on a center console boat and the first on my list is to sink brush piles. From this trip I learned from Mark where and how to set out a successful crappie hole.
You will not a find a guide that will work harder than Mark, not to mention a person you will completely enjoy the day with. Even though you are a veteran fisherman, you will enjoy fishing with Mark and walk away with extra knowledge.
Outside of buying my Wife's wedding ring, paying for this trip was the best thing I have spent my money on in a long, long, time !!!
Thank you Mark, and I look forward to being on the water with you again!!

Nothing compares to fishing with the person that introduced you to it all. My Dad taught me to fish and hunt. The memories and lessons will last forever. Miss you Dad and Grandpa.

Very cool. That is my kind of Father's Day.

"Love is something more stern and splendid than mere kindness."

"All that we call human history--money, poverty, ambition, war, prostitution, classes, empires, slavery--[is] the long terrible story of man trying to find something other than God which will make him happy." — C.S. Lewis
