Alright guys. I've got a dead cylinder, #6. Coil is good and new plug. Definitely getting spark. Fuel injector is good too. So go ahead and break the bad news to me! Any ideas?

Dropped all the cylinders to figure out which one. Then swapped coil and injector to eliminate those possibilities.

Well I got into it. Significant damage on the # 6 only. Any ideas on price of a rebuild?

Metal reed. Went in #6 hole. I was standing there when he pulled it out. Seen it with my own eyes. Put a set of Carbon Fibers in. When one of those goes thru it doesnt tear up stuff like a metal reed. That is a NICE BassCat youve got too. Be safe out there.

DEFINATELY look forward to maybe getting together & fishing some with ya. Sure is nice to have a good mechanic. I always say " I know someone" when it comes to actually BUILDING a Mercury motor & doing it RIGHT. We went to lunch after he put sleeve in yesterday. He said," At least THIS guy didnt try to KEEP running it. Saved himself a lot of $ ,trouble,& time by getting it in when he did". Shouldnt be too long now. Talk to you later.
