I have a Yamaha 115etlf. I'm seeing what looks like to be dirty oil running down the front of the motor (between motor and boat) coming from under the cover around the very lower part of the powerhead someplace. I pulled the cover and don't see anywhere that this fluid is leaking from, it's coming out to high on the motor to be a leak from the lower unit. This oil is very dirty looking so its not the yamalube (blue color) that I'm using either. What can this be?

You most likely have a carb leaking because of a bad float or sticking needle and seat. Being yours is a 1989 model it has some oil and dirt build up in the air silencer that it is washing down. My guess anyway.
