Thinking about trying to go and fish it for some catfish or white bass? What's the easiest way to park and fish the dam or is it even possible?

You cannot fish very far out on the damn itself. You can fish the corners up to the sign but you will have to walk a ways. I am not sure if you can on the south side now as I remember some work being done on the park there and I haven't tried the north side.

Would you suggest any other spots for a bank fisherman to catch some catfish and maybe whites. I've been out there in murrel park catching a few LMB but wanted to change it up with the brother in law. I could even go somewhere on lewisville if theres a more fishable bank there. Looking to maybe head out this evening or in the morning. Thanks

I'm going to be out at grapevine for a group activity Friday but have only fished Grapevine 4 times ever. Will be on the south side of the lake, any suggestions on where to go on the south side for sand bass or catfish from the bank?

Eric

I'm going to grapevine tonight. I'll be parking at the trail head at the end of white chapel rd. Feel free to swing by.

I would go to the north side where the wind would be blowing into the bank. Increases your chances of finding fish.

Anywhere along the north side of the lake with a strong south wind.
