I've got a 2006 Skeeter SX200 with a Yamaha HPDI 200. The current prop came from the factory and is a 25m. I really don't have any complaints, but I've noticed in the winter it will get rpm's up to 5600 and run 68 at WOT. In the summer it will only do 63/64 and struggles to get over 5200 rpm's. Now I'm fine with the performance, but am curious what props may be better in the summer to help with the loss of rpm's and top end.

Might want to try a 23M to get the rpm up in the summer. I have one posted for sale on here that I would let you try to see if it helps.

I believe a 23 pitch T1 Yamaha prop is better suited to that engine.

I'd say what you're experiencing is completely normal. Most motors are faster in colder air than warm plus the summer blend of gas probably diminishes power.

But dropping in pitch will raise rpms

That seems low. You may try raising your motor. I was turning 6000 on a comparably sized Triton.

I can turn a 25p 25M and Tempest Plus with a Ox66 200 5800-6000 on a ZX202 which is a tad longer. Make sure your PTP is at 3.5" annd run it to see how it does. I went as high as 2.75" and settled at 3.25". It could be that you need a little more cup to get fully on pad or something else.

What kind of shape is the prop in? Has it ever been worked? Steve's Props is good with Skeeters. You could need the prop refreshed with a B&B if it is clean and not worked recently or repaired if its a little banged up.
