Lowrance HDS 9's linked. What is the best chip available? Fish mainly north TX lakes but would like all of TX southern Okla if there is one available.

i use and really like the Navionics hotmaps platinum (south). I also run the lowrance HDS and they load fast and are pretty accurate. Go to https://webapp.navionics.com/?lang=en#boating@6&key=_nz%7CDjyoqQ and look at the chart viewer to see if the lakes you need are charted. the south maps should cover everything you need. AL, AR, FL, GA, KS, LA, MO, MS, NE, NM and OK
amazon has them at 185 ish... lots cheaper than the 250 i paid last fall.

As mentioned check on line to see if your lakes are mapped in HD. For me, the Navionics Hot Maps South was best for depth contours for east Texas. Don't over look the preloaded maps inside the Lowrance HDS units. Those show boat lanes and general lake hazardous areas like stump fields to avoid. I find this very helpful navigating new lakes. So I will run both on dual screen.
