 Athens....dead grass but plenty o' bass

Fished today on Athens....yes, I saw dead grass....lots of it. Busted some small fish early on topwater and a donkey rigged pair of Flukes. Later tricked a few on a c-rigged brush hog on points. Boated 8.....on 11 bites. Still, better than not fishing.

Hope it doesn't happen to Athens, but I remember way back in the day of Conroe and the carp. Fishing was incredible for a while, then tapered to nothing.
