Stubby don't have to hijack a bait thread, the folks who fish with his bait praise it all time. He shows plenty of proof in pictures of the results of his catches very often. Danny King, Sureshot, CJ, and many others make good bait.

I tried Stubbys side by side and caught fish on both but usually can only keep one in water at a time

I'll put in a plug for JPigg's. It works good on Sam Rayburn.

It's punch bait lol.. If you're on 'em, they're gonna eat it. They won't eat it if there isn't any fish there.

It's punch bait lol.. If you're on 'em, they're gonna eat it. That's what I've always thought about these punch bait debates. They're turd sucking channels and usually little ones that have been chummed up. They'll literally eat anything you put in front of them from chicken liver to corn or whatever YOURfavorite punch bait is.

I've never had much luck with any punch bait, especially when compared with fresh shad. I would be open to trying some again but not for $20 when I know shad works great for big cats and are free for the catching.

i went fishing this AM with Big Zee on Granger. We were both using CJ's Shad Punch bait and neither of us could keep it on the hook. We couldn't even get it to hang on the hook when pulling it out of the can. It seems to need more fiber to make it clump on the hook. Not going to pay $6 a jar for something I can't get results with. I think I'll go to chicken livers and surgical tube gauze and cut bait. These fish just won't let me fish on credit.

That's strange I had the same thing happen with the Danny kings straight off the shelf . The cj and pro cat were fine . The pro cat was actually almost too thick even after I stirred it up pretty good. Another thing I've noticed is tempature messes with the consistency a lot hot makes it runny and goopy and pretty much useless ,cold makes it hard and thick ,room temp Keeps it where you need it . You can use this to your advantage to thicken or soften it . And leaving it in the bed of your truck for days on end in the summer heat cuz you forgot it was there is a bad idea lol

I recommend some sudden impact in the lakes and secret 7 in the creeks and rivers..... Check out the results of the prepared bait championships they used to have yearly.....
If it ain't broke don't fix it...but go ahead and work on it anyway.....

I fish CJs bait 99% of the time.I have no trouble keeping on a no#6 treble hook.I buy it from Charlie Jones (CJ)by the gallon and 5 gallon pails.Works for me on Belton Granger and Waco.Don't buy the small jars of any punch bait. This time of year I keep mine on ice.
