Staying all week at a house near the pass at Bay Harbor . Been here since Friday and the surf fishing this year is not what it has been for us the last 4 or 5 years. Using squid and only catching small hard heads. Seems like the birds and bait fish are way out from the shore. Thinking about maybe going today to the bays. Anyone have a report ?

May your wiener schnitzel always stay above your lederhosein.

I heard that waders were doing well with specks in the evening in the surf. Try to hit it on a SE wind that will bring in the green(trout) water. If you want sharks or bull reds, use cut mullet or shad on the bottom. I'm usually don't wn there about 3-5 times a week so hopefully the fishing picks up soon.

I've been hearing of some good catches from San Luis pass from one of my TroutSupport.com customers. Henry Burns... or Team Burns he calls himself and his son. Mirrolure Mirrodines and Softdine XLs and I also think some are doing well on Mirrolure Fat Boys. Limits and trout up to 26in.. in coming tide and light wind. He usually fishes a 1/2 mile either side of the pass on the beach side.
