Buddy and I been trying to get our fishing trip going for 3 weeks. Finally put things together Thur and Fri. His son came along so that just made the trip better. Thur was a great day with light winds and fish hammerin. Every place we stopped had at least a few fish. Finally hit one spot about 9 that held 21 keepers. Quit at 11 with 64 in the cooler. I said we only need 11 more for a 3 man limit and he said we have more than enough to clean for now, lets head home. Several fish between 1.20 and 1.5. but most were the 1 lb variety. Threw back probably 30+ dinks.

Today saw a complete weather change with wind that wasn't supposed to blow and some rain that wasn't supposed to be there. We headed back to the trailer at 9:10 as the rain was getting closer and the lightning. Put the boat on the trailer and things began to look better. Waited till 9:45 and launched again. Had to find some places out of the 15 mph wind. Finally found a good spot with about 15 keeps. Ended the day at 11 with 32 in the cooler. Not as many big fish today.
All the fish are headed back to Houston for a few fish frys for some hungry fire fighters. First fish fry is tomorrow at the station. And the next one is Monday.

Best colors were pearl ice, natural shad, and chart slab bug. All the action was on Belton.
