Any pointers on where I could catch some crappie from the bank around the grapevine area, not able to make it where I like to fish unfortunately.. Is the lewisville barge worth the drive right now

Unfortunately, the crappie have moved into their summer pattern and will be hard to catch from the bank now till roughly mid Nov. The Lewisville barge (or any barge) is really about your only chance but it is also typically slower during this time of year. I hope this helps.

If bank is your only option find.rocks with a steep.drop and fish at night. Most people don't know crappie will go shallow at night.to feed if it has enough depth close by.

Rock Ledge Park, Flower Mound side of Grapevine. Rocky, deep water close to bank.
Not sure when park closes. Might check that.

At night would be your best option if you are into that. I completely forgot about night fishing as I never do it.

Agree with the previous posts. One thing to remember about fishing rocks during the summer at night, SNAKES. Make sure to keep an eye out for them.
