Rob and I met at Oak Cove little after 6 am and headed to the flats. Nothing there went to the levee, dam, windsock and points in between, couldn't find much at all. Ended up SW of Pelican and spent most of the rest of the day there. Found good schools of nice sandies. Could sit 30-40 minutes anchored before they would thin out, move a little distance and get on them again. Target depth was 30 - 38 fow. Rob caught many doubles, one time it was 3 times in a row. We ended up with 175 on the clicker all released. A few catfish, a few yellow bass and one under hybrid. Several yellow bass looked very bad, sick looking, bellies caved in and scales just looked bad, all other fish were very healthy with full bellies. The bite was very lite, many times didn't even know you had a bite, felt nothing as if the fish gummed the hook then went to sleep. All caught on slabs, Rob had a fly above his slab.

Rob the double master

Way to go. I've never fished RC, maybe I should try there to get my boys into some fish. I just know nothing about the lake.
