Rounded some up near the dam Sunday morning. Headed into the oven this evening. A nice treat after getting the yard work done.
Fishin' to stock Lake Crisco.

Care to share some info on that breading? Looks awesome Milled flax seed, Slap Ya Mama, and a bit extra salt and pepper. I didn't have any corn meal on hand so I used this instead. Worked good, tasted good and in theory should be healthier. Filets patted dry, rubbed with a bit of olive oil then dredged in breading. Baked at 425 in convection oven on center rack for 20 minutes. You have to adjust cooking time based on how thick the filets are.

I was with captain yakker Sunday and used panko and cornbread on mine and baked it as well. Turned out good. Not fried good but good and better for my weight lol.

Very nice. I've never baked catfish with breading I watched a few YT videos of people doing it to get the time and temp in the ballpark. I'm looking into buying one of those airfryers too, but I want to use it for battered fish if I can. It's not unlike using the Shake-N-Bake stuff you buy for chicken and pork.
