(Forgive me if this has been discussed before, but my search for electric or electronic lures yielded no results on topic.)

My latest issue of Texas P & W Magazine had a full-page ad in the back. I hardly ever read those, so it may have run before this month. It was an ad for electronic fishing lures. These would flash red at random while underwater. I googled and found others that would light up and twitch elctronically. Has anyone had any experience with any of these? Some brand names were Bite Lite, Fishingtechtoday.com, and

Just when you thought you'd seen everything....

I am super skeptical of these things. sounds more like a late night infomercial than a legit lure designed to catch a fisherman rather than a fish.

but who knows. I would save my $$$ and buy tried and true baits i know catch fish without a gimmick of flashing lights and such.

Do not mess with the twitching lure. My father in law got suckered into buying two and neither one of them would ever take a charge. They did refund his money though.

Many gimmicks out there. Laserlure along with those you mentioned. The latest one everyone swears by is Livingston lures with built in real fish sounds.

May work but probably not.

If you could locate an old buzzy rod with the little button that you could press to make the rod vibrate to fish these electronic lures with at least you would feel the rod vibrate every time you pushed the button.

I have yet to catch anything on a Livingston Lure, and I have several.
