The kids are tired of murvall so I thought we would try something different this weekend...where would you take three boys for some fun catching?...when I have all three in the boat at the same time it can get crazy real fast so I only allow soft plastics.
The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

Was on Martin yesterday. Caught some crappie and a few bass. Lake is up a little but looks good. Probably catch better bass on naconiche but with 3 boys you'll stay hung up a lot. Don't know anything about Pirky. If you do happen to go to Martin there is a floater under the RR bridge on the south end.
To whom much is given, much is required.

Never been to Naconiche but from what I saw on MLF its full of flooded timber.
Martin Creek has some good grass just before the railroad bridge on the right hand side from the shore out to roughly 6-8'. Its on the "cold" side but this time of year shouldn't be an issue I caught em there back in Jan. Flukes or brushhogs worked best for me, no particular color I had watermelon red and black/blue tied on and it worked.
Perky has a lot of grass as well and is super clear. And you launch on the hot side too. I've never done well out there but its a good lake and so close to Martin that you could fish both the same day.

Naconiche is full of timber and prolly not the best place to take 3 kiddos, unless you stay on the main lake (then you'll have skier's to contend with on the wknd).

Saw a show on Outdoors Channel the other day these guys were at Naconiche throwing poppers in the timber and pulling out a ton of bass. Looked like a lot of fun and a really cool lake.

Wherever you go, be safe. Sounds like those boys need to wear PFDs at all times.

I'll be on MC this weekend.... I'm told they're biting a little slow. We'll see about that.

Unless they are excellent casters I wouldn't go to naconiche. Timber everywhere except the small main lake area and kids would probably get hung up a lot

Go to perky and throw a Carolina rig with a watermelon red fluke and dye the tail chartreuse. The lake has grass that grows out deep. It's a small lake and is full of humps. I used to fish it growing up.
