Maybe old news, but I heard they are going to change the trailer inspection deal now so you wont have to get trailers inspected to get new tags unless they are over 7,500 gvwr. It is part of Senate Bill 1001.

Anyone know if this passed or when it did/will take effect? I tried looking it up, but didn't find a lot.

if it does pass should go into effect sept 1st , that seems to be when the DOT law changes are effective every year .

yep, like every other law in Tx. I bet it it didn't. The jerk offs in Congress spent all their time arguing over what bathrooms people should use and sanctuary cities. I don't think they passed anything the average Joe cares about.

Yeah we still have one that is GVRW 14K, but it only gets inspected when we need it which isn't very often. Unfortunately whenever we need it, it usually gets a new set of tires too bang
