What boat?
If the boat is solid and you like it I would either have it rebuilt or repower with a new 4 stroke.

Whole new power head. Cheaper than repairing that block most likely.

No way in hell I would consider that a realistic option. Its been started and run out of time, is that an interference motor? its possible the whole valve train and pistons are carp.

It's on a pontoon boat we just bought got a good deal on boat so figured even if I had to find another used engine it would still be a decent boat.
