The motor bogs upon trying to blast off. After a little while it will get on plane and Hall butte no problem. I have to ride a wheelie for at least a minute or two. Then it will gain power and eventually get on plane and runs like a top

No ....it's like the motor is bogging down and will not gain power.

First thing to do is make sure all cylinders are good and hitting. Check compression and do a spark test. Not only if it`s firing to each sparkplug but strength of the spark. Next is all fuel components check. Check ignition timing. Set TPS. Check operation of throttle making sure it gets full throttle. Many times I will connect a remote fuel tank with known good fuel and try it. I have seen several outboard motors that run like a dog because of the fuel. Sometimes guys put too much additive or pour in 3 or 4 different additives. They can also run bad because of carbon buildup. They also can have performance issues because of excessive boat weight or incorrect weight distribution. I have seen several bass boats that you don`t want to fill up with fuel. Others you don`t want to fill up the livewells. Have seen boats that have water trapped in the hull and others that the flotation has become water logged. Posting this for you to understand, many things can cause this.

Right on ...I appreciate the information. We are working on doing a few of these, like the external gas tank with good gas. I'm going to check the plugs and Spark around the same time. Then I will work through your list and see what I come up with. thanks for your input

When was the last time you had the injectors pulled and cleaned?

VST pulled and cleaned?

Changed ALL fuel lines from tank to motor with ethanol resistant lines. This includes the primer bulb.
