I'm looking at buying a 22 year old basscat pantera II. What should I be on the look out for when I go look at it?
Opportunity is usually missed because it shows up in overalls and looks like work.

Overlook the cosmetic stuff and concentrate on major mechanical. The mechanical stuff is where the upkeep(repair) costs can make a "good deal" a horrible deal. Also, along with a test drive at the lake, ask for a ride along to the lake so you can observe the trailer and how it rides. Be there when the boat is started for the first time that day.

Look\feel around for any soft spots in deck and transom. I'd expect to have to replace some plastic and rubber parts but might check fuel line and Livewell and drain hoses.
