Experienced opinions please!

Looking at 2 Nitro z7's

One is a 2009 with unbelievably low hours, garage kept, MINT condition. Had to replace the shaft due to hitting a log. Also replaced the gas tank and censor.

The other is a 2011 with a 2015 Mercury under warranty for another few years due to blowing the old motor. Also garage kept and in otherwise good shape.

The latter is more expensive by 3k-4k.

Looking for some pointers or perspective. Anything that will help. Please note that this is also my first boat. For what it's worth.

low hours is not always good ...I would probably go with the 2011 or whichever one you can take out on the water for a test run.

I can likely get both out on the water. The 2009 has also just been serviced. I also wouldn't make a purchase without having a mechanic look at it. If the seller won't allow it then he's not selling to me.

What motors are on them. A lot of Nitros have been sold underpowered.

Personally I would have to lean towards the 09 with the 200... even though I have a 591 which is equivalent to a Z7 I have never felt like it was underpowered with a 150, but a 200 would be even better.
