Caught this nice little smallmouth this weekend on Ray Roberts. Been fishing on Ray Roberts for a long time and only the second one I ever caught there. Pretty Cool!

I believe there were several small mouth bass caught two weeks ago or so at the State High School meet.

Bill Wilcox mentioned them, too, in a recent video. It seems he said they were found down by the dam in rocks.

Hmm? On lakes where they are known to exist in North Texas, they are hard to target it seems to me. They have small mouths in Wheeler Branch. I caught one over a couple of dozen trips out there in my kayak. Just one.

Mean Mouth. Cross between a small mouth and a spot. There have been several pictures posted of them being caught on Ray Bob over the last year.

yes, I do believe it is a crossbreed, a spot and smallmouth. I know that but it was cool landing one anyway. Does not happen everyday out there. Enjoy!

yep, it's a cool fish! My tourney partner caught one about 3# while we were pre-fishing for Champs back in April.
