Hello -
My buddies and I will be taking a trip to South Louisiana to do some Redfishing. I've heard of some places that will provide meals, lodging and guides all in one package. I've researched some online but am really looking for user experiences.
Has anyone done this and if so where did you stay and how was the experience?
Thanks!

http://grossesavanne.com/ right over the border, top notch fishing both fresh and salt, accomodations are excellent. further east http://www.cocomarina.com/Cocodrie...no further explanation needed. Some of the best inshore/offshore fishing in LA.

I highly recommend you check out woodland plantation in Port Sulphur. I have been twice and had a blast both times. I estimate this is only about an hour from the New Orleans airport. The plantation house was restored for lodging along with an old church which is now the dining hall and bar. The food is excellent.
I had great guides both times. I fly fished from a skiff on my first trip and he worked real hard and poled me around all day long. Caught quite a few. Others drove on down to Venice and fished from traditional CC boats with spinning gear. They can hook you up for any type of fishing.
It is not the cheapest route but if you are looking for an all in one package it fits the bill well.

Woodland Plantation is incredible. The grounds, history, food, and hospitality are amazing Capt Rich Waldner guides out of the lodge and in the area and is one of the best guides I've ever fished with. Check out Old Towne Fly Shop in Slidell on your way there. They can really help and provide more guide or lodging recommendations

Thanks, Guys. I am in the process of booking Woodlands Plantation. Man, they book up fast! They are scrambling to find me a guide in October. Hopefully it works out.
Thanks, again.
