We went over Memorial weekend and had a blast. It was more of a family boating weekend than fishing but we took two boats a bass boat and a runabout so my son and I could sneak off in the bass boat in mornings and wet a hook. I started a thread before we went that you might find that had some good advice from a guide on Broken Bow and others that have fished it. Yellow Magic, Nedrig and a few other suggestions. I had most of my hits on a square bill and a deep diving crankbait. The lake is huge with a lot of coves and creeks you can pull into and if you head to the north end you'll find some timber, that's where I would recommend going.

Wife and I just spent 7 days there, fished for bass every day but one due to rain. Caught between 10 and 20 most days. Past 3 years, we have managed 30-40 per day. We mainly fish Wacky style, but do throw tops early. Locals said the lake fished slower this year due to the lower than normal water. It was maybe 10 ft lower than the last 3 years. We still had a great time and will be going back next May.

What color senkos/wacky were you throwing? And colors of tops? Just trying to be as prepared as possible for the entire family as I am in charge of all Tackle!

I have not been doing much bass fishing, I have been crappie fishing mostly. Bass I know are good early on poppers in bone or shad colors. I like a KVD slash or RICO. After the sun gets up good a shaky head with a green pumpkin or watermelon worm should work on steeper banks. A-rigs should work with small swim baits. Starting to see a few schoolers. Try super flukes rigged weightless early also and at schoolers. Baitfish or smoking shad are good colors. Bandit 300 cranks are usually good this time of year (300 series)in splatterback or Tennessee shad. 3 inch glimmer blue grubs should get you bit on a grub head. Swim it slow.

Just got back was with Family and Boat, it was kinda hard getting to Fish due to family and time. However finally got up all asleep and hit the water, I was a few miles from lake in Mountain Fork River. Steep cliffs, points everywhere rocky ones, vegetation ones, and little coves. Finally got on them after a few hours of nothing with only 45 mins to go. Had luck with a Craw tube in watermelon/Red T-rig main river on the secondary points with a little cover and shade was a bonus. Had a Fish went probably 3.5 others solid 2's Fantastic Lake and close stayed at a cabin had a great time will go back . stayed @ http://www.wildernesslakefrontresort.com/broken-bow-cabin-online-reservations.html awesome clean place .

***Sorry Tournament Anglers I usually don't mess with Unders*** hooked

Been catching bass on shaky head with green pumpkin Grande bass baby rattlesnake. Been catching them on points on main lake as well as points in the creeks. You also can catch fish with this bait on flats in the back of creeks. 8 to 12 feet. Flip the bait on the stumps and stick ups. Yellow magic works early. Also weightless fluke. Look for bass starting to school. Have your top water ready to fire because they can come up quickly and be gone quickly! I also try to help my renters out that stay at my cabins. See deercrketreat.com. I guide on the lake and the crappie fishing has been very good.
