I've recently started using DE around my vegetable garden and house for ants. Just a note to anyone thinking about using this stuff. DON'T buy the DE for pool filters. Buy the stuff that is for insect control.

Pool filter DE is mainly crystalline silica = BAD to breathe in.
Regular DE for insect control is mainly amorphous silica = Not as bad, but don't breathe it if possible.

Fishin' to stock Lake Crisco.

Just get some of this. Pyrethrin is used in Dairy Barn auto spray systems. Safe to use around pets. Spray the whole area and it kills them dead on contact and anywhere else they land for days and days. Also kills all other flying and crawling insects. Permethrin is the synthetic version and works well also and is cheaper. You can get it at any feed store or Home Depot or Tractor Supply Store.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!
