Well, ... who needs a $35,000 boat or a $500 guide to catch a limit of trout when the WadeFish Rockport Book & DVD can clue you into where the fish are before you get there.

We hammered the trout Thursday morning on a wade fishing adventure, but we were looking at trying another area when deciding on our 'Game Plan' for this morning.

Simply following the tide/moon phase/season Locations Tide/Moon Phase Chart in the book, we picked another location today from the book just to see what was up with the trout bite at that location.

Stringing trout at daybreak, we hammered the trout again with some excellent non-stop action until we had our trout limits.

Tide wasn't moving as good this morning as it was Thursday, but that didn't matter !!!

Using Pink/WildEye and/or Glow/RedEye Rockport Rattler jigs and Pearl 3" Gulp! shrimp we bagged 2 trout limits.

One of the two biggest trout today hit that the Gulp!! even though it's tail was bitten off, just solid trout action .. didn't need to rig a fresh Gulp! on it !!!

Nice mess of trout filets today to help save on the grocery bill.
wink

Awesome day for y'all. Congrats. Wish I had a book to show me where to fish. I'd sure try it.

kayaker:

If you ever get this way to do some fishing that WadeFish Rockport book will serve as good fishing bible for you to use, whether wade fishing or fishing by kayak.

V-Bottom:

You ain't kiddin'.

My son loves them for lunch before he goes to work @ 2 pm, ... where he is the manager of The Boiling Pot

Between his fresh fish filet sandwiches and the crab legs n' claws, shrimp and gumbo he eats there, ... the kid does eat well.

Thanks Grinder. I'll sure do that. Question: Do you think the fishing in Rockport and generally, in that entire area, better than down here because of the water clarity? Also, now thanks to your food consumption description, I have to go somewhere and get a good fish sandwich. loco_2

kayaker: Yes !!!

We went from grass beds back to shell today trying another location in the WadeFish Rockport and wasn't disappointed.

Good trout action again today - also caught and released 17" reds all morning long.

Rex, II and I strung our trout limit again today, with some decent trout in the mix. Had our trout limits by 8:30 am and tried to get a keeper red but none made it to 20".

Bring on supper with my iron skillet and my new Skillet Grilled Trout Recipe !!!

Wind was up 1t 15 mph+ before daylight, so my original location I wanted to fish was blown out.

No big deal.

Wind was supposed to be 5 - 10 mph. and gusts were over 15 mph, ... that's why I say: "You want a tourist report, listen to the weatherman, .. you want a weather report, ... talk to a Mariner."

In the ol' SaltH2O before daybreak and caught some nice trout early with trout in the 17" - 22" range.

Had our trout caught by 8 am this morning.

All my trout action pics came out blurry, but I tried to get some action shots. Need more practice with this new camera - LOL !!! wink
