I'm looking to get on eagle mountain and try to catch some catfish. Mainly waters. I wouldn't mind dropping some noodles or jugs while I fish either. Is there a good place for me to look for cats? I mainly bass fish that lake so not too familiar with anything as far as the catfish. Maybe the dam? Any help is greatly appreciated. Would love to get some good eating fish! Thanks!

I haven't caught very many fish deep at Eagle Mountain. I have no clue why.

Fish the mouth of harbor one or carter slough. Both are eat up in cats.

Go throw a net and catch some shad... then get your spinning set up and use a bobber with a split shot and hook ( 2.5-3.5 foot of line between bobber and hook). Motor over to the south end of the dam and drift 3/4 way down the dam throwing your bobber 2-4 feet from the rocks. Doesn't matter how close your boat is relative to the rocks. Catfish will be all over the dam the next few months. You'll also catch your occasional black bass, few really big drum, and you'll miss more catfish then you catch... can only use one rod at a time... great action for kids. Good luck
