Does anyone every fish the tree fields on hubbard? I've never seen a boat in them. People fish place on fork that look just like it, so why not on mother hubbard?

Hubbard is just a different lake. I am sure you can catch a few out there.

I'd like to get out there with a good graph and check for underwater structure just out of curiosity. I've never fished it before. Seems the bass on that lake relate more to rip rap and other cover .

^^^

hubbard and fork are entirely different animals.

Years ago i spent time trying to fish some of those stump fields. Never had much luck. One problem may be the creek channels are silted in, not much to work with in terms of bottom composition. hubbard fishes unlike any other lake around IMO. for its size it fishes very small.

I'd be interested to hear D Harper's opinion ... if he has one

I've never been able to catch a fish in water deeper than 6 foot, I'd like to start trying but it's such a mud hole off the bank

The guys that consistently do well out there stay on the riprap. There's a few offshore spots on the south end of the lake, but for the most part the rip rap is where tournaments are won.

I fish the rip rap but it never seems to produce much for me. There is one guy that fishes the working mans tournaments ever week and every week he places top 3. Hopefully I can figure out how to find good fish soon

You have to find the depth they're holding on the riprap. Sometimes they'll be in a foot of water, sometimes 20'. It varies day to day, and hour to hour.
