Anyone ever caught any my uncles said he used to catch some in a canal around beaumont i never knew there was such

I had to look online for photos...I caught quite a few of those growing up, but we just called them perch. I grew up near Beaumont in a little town called Port Neches.

I would like to catch one i did some research they get over half a pound and there is no state record
