I don't see this posted anywhere, but has anyone seen this bill that raises the weight for trailer inspections? Its apparently been sent to the governor and raises the weight to 7500lbs. At least thats what it looks like.

It proves that the inspection was all about money, not "safety". 4500-7500 will have to pay a fee (not registration) of $7.50...

Original text of the bill just changed the limit to 7500. Amendments were added to instate the fee when an inspection is not required and allow facilities other than inspection centers to do the inspection. Including internal fleet centers. So the companies that own the semis can inspect themselves. It is only a financial generation now, and nothing else. The next change will be to remove the lower limit...
