Do you take a knife along while tubing? If so, what kind, and where do you carry it. I'm thinking about carrying something to cut me loose in case I get entangled in some line.

I have a carabiner knife that can be clipped to a D ring on your tube or even your life vest.....
Keep 'dem lines tight and enjoy the fight....!

good thinking Uncle; those trot lines can be very hazardous. I've been caught on a couple and without a knife it can be difficult!

Neck knife and sometimes a neck gun! One of my favorite ponds is snake infested. These aren't poisonous but they are big nosy and will scare you half to death trying to be friendly and visit. We also have gators but to tell you the truth I never have any problem from them.
You know that old saying "Some people march to the beat of a different drummer."? I don't listen to a drum at all and have meandered through life instead of marching.

I like these the best: https://www.amazon.com/Pack-Our-Favorite...zor+cutter+toolLightweight, compact, instant deployment, cheap and disposable if they get rusty, instant spring retraction for safety. Can be carried on you wrist using a hand or neck band or anywhere else where you can get to it quick. Sharp enough to work on heavy line, even anchor line in an emergency. There are also heavier versions available at higher cost. PC PC
