3..... In 38 years of being an independent boater.
15' foot John boat 35 HP Evinrude that dad and I converted into a tracker style bass boat (had console and front deck lowrance flasher and Ranger power pedestal seats - thought I was pimp) through my teens and early twenties.
15' Tidecraft with a 50 HP Suzuki and an LCR graph - twenties to late 30's
18' Nitro with a 125 HP Mercury - modern DI electronics - late 30's to present.
I'm not sure who's winning, guess I have a different perspective... I still miss the first two boats and love my current one.

The only guys "winning" are the one's who had a new boat or two every year for many years in a row. I'm assuming they had team deals and their boats didn't cost them a ton.

Good Gosh almighty Ken. I knew it was a lot especially from the guiding days but wow. I've only had 3....I started fishing about 10 years ago 2008 Xpress 18 Bass - 115 Yami 4 stroke 2012 Legend Alpha 199 - 225 Merc 2017 Legend V-20 - 250 Merc I doubt I get a new one for quite some time now that I have a boat big enough to take a few friends or family members out with me.
