This is my first osprey 6 inch top hook swimbait. I bought it new and on the 3rd cast caught a 2.5 pounder. This is what happens to the bait. Split on both sides, nose ripped, and weight tore through bottom of swimbait. This is exactly 3 casts and 1 small bass. Is this their normal quality of bait? For $20, pretty disappointing.

I'm betting if you email that exact same picture to Osprey they will take care of it. Every company makes a clunker here and there. Give them a chance to make it right.

For the record I have zero ties to Osprey. Don't even own any.

Definitely send a pic to Osprey. They usually have good customer service.

I'll definitely send them a pic. I've only heard good things about osprey baits. I also bought a 7 and 9 inch. Definitely curious how those hold up.

This. For sure.

Give them a chance to fix it before you put them on blast. Good grief.

Email has been sent. Trust me, you'll know if I put them on blast..... I asked a simple question about their quality. I'm just curious if anyone else has had this happen to their osprey... Considering i dropped $125 on osprey swimbaits, im a little eager to learn if this is normal or just my bad luck.

They suck. I'll save you the pain and mental torture and take those off your hands for 50 bucks.

I just received a reply from osprey. Evidently, I was given the incorrect contact info...Anyone have correct contact info for osprey?

"This osprey lure of yours does not come from us, we do not make this lure

it believe your are using lures from a company in Oregon  which also have the same name.

if you view our lure site you will note that ii not in our  manufacturing programme."

I haven't seen any quality issues from their swimbaits.....I think they hold up pretty well. I put some through abuse at Amistad and they are still in good condition. I'm sure they'll make it right.
