They are all better than grinding fiberglass. That said, they are also only as good as the installation. The installation requires substantial prep work.

Hamby's Beaching Bumper FTW.

I had one of the self install ones and did get the free replacement twice. I decided to get a permanent fix and Tommy at Rockwall Mirine had his guys put a Hamby's Beaching Bumper on a few years back. One of the best investments I made for my boat.

I recently installed a Megaware KeelGuard but any of the big three are all about the same quality but prep work is the key for long lasting adhesion.

I have a Keel Guard. It's 5 years old now and starting to separate from the adhesive strip at the bow end. Still functional but would have preferred a Hamby's.

Hamby's...good warranty. Replaced the original after 12 years.

I went to line-x in Killeen and got the spray on keel guard, best money spent , honestly good for the life of the boat and super tough. My 2 cents

I put a Megaware KeelGuard on mine. The key is to get it super clean after taking the old one off. I also ran a bead of black marine silicone around the entire keel guard.

Have had 2 of these on different boats. Absolutely bullet proof! thumb

As thick as you want it, keel-X is the route I would go if I needed a new one. You see alot of them around belton, tough as nails.
