I am new to fishing plastics. I was fishing this weekend with a weightless 7.5" worm and found myself wanting to add a little more weight. There was hydrilla on the bottom 2-3 feet of the lake (12 ft. depth) and I wanted the worm to fall a little faster but not use a sliding weight (I wanted it to sit on top of the hydrilla). Am I crazy for thinking this would be good (really am new to plastics, so tell me if I am out of my mind). Anyway, is there any good ideas out there to do what I want or am I barking up the wrong tree? Any help from those who know would be greatly appreciated.

nail weight I think would be an answer for what you're looking for.

That'll work.

I like these too. If the wind is calm you can break them in half with your fingers

I use the small pinch on bullet weights in different sizes. Available at Academy.
