How many feet of line do you guys normally let out when trolling? Does it depend on the bait etc?

I let out enough to drag bottom while trolling humps that are my target depth. Hopefully there are no stumps or trees or rocks in that area. Speed, line size, and what lures are on dictate how deep it will run. Usually about 2 to 3 mph works good.
