Loc: Texas, Earth, Milkey Way
Spent the day with a good friend on the Trinity river we were rewarded with multiple solid fish over 6 foot and an absolutely massive 7 foot 3 inch giant coming in at 191 pounds who gave us one of the strongest fights i have ever seen. she pushed so hard she made it through an underwater tree and had to be retrieved by me getting in the water. Caught, tagged, photographed, and released with the greatest respect. There is nothing like watching a fish bigger than you swim back to its freshwater river its species has called home for over 100 million years 200 + hours on the water since the last 7 foot gar and each one of those hours made catching this one even better. i 100% believe these are some of the most challenging fish you could target and im a firm believer its as much about the journey chasing these fish as it is about holding a living dinosaur.
