Had a good day Friday thinking I would beat the crowd and get my fishing fix on before the lake gets beat up. There were several boats on the water, more than I expected. I got on the water by 7:30 the wind was blowing out of the south 5-7 mph I headed to a brush pile caught a 3 lb on 1st cast working tx rig zoom worm, I thought great now im jinxed. Caught another 3 lb a few minutes later and a 1 lb, then the wind started kicking. I moved to a point wind was just too much saw other boat on the next spot I wanted to fish, So I just rode around graphing some Stripers fished a unproductive deep bank and decided Id try to hit some other areas out of the wind.
1st fish off a protected point in about 10 ft tx rig.

2nd big one off protected bank in about 4 ft tx rig, caught a couple of 2 lbers and some less than 14 in about 12 bass total was a good day for some big fish. Sun came out about 2pm lots of ski boats and jet skis so I went home.

Fishing is....

I hear you Jimbo. The recreational boaters go nuts

How come I keep catching small fish when every product I buy is supposed to catch more and bigger fish?

Was out there yesterday morning and got off the water before 10 because the lake was getting a little too crowded for my taste
