Found them early on top but couldn't seem to get them to bite afterwards. Anyone else have any success later on? Also, does anyone have suggestions on how to slab when it is windy?

Slab bite has been on fire in all the lakes. Find them on your electronics and jig stright down. We ended up with about 150 today. Been starting on the humps on slabs about 9:30 Johnny

we have always had luck casting slabs as far as you can cast and working them back towards the boat. You can cover a lot of territory doing this way and you can locate a school and get on top of them. Works on hybrids as well
