You have a beautiful little lake. I have never fished it. Only seen it once passing through but I was impressed. I need to make a trip and fish it.

Thank you and yes we do. She can be a tough cookie to crack fishing her, but the fish are there. So glad to see her featured on Wade Middletons show, hope you were able to watch the show this morning.

I was on a show with Americana Outdoors when David West was the host back in 1995/96 on Lake Eufaula, Oklahoma. He was covering the PVA tourney and needed someone who knew the lake. Whatever happened to David West?

Maybe Host Wade Middleton can chime in and answer your question when he returns from KY Lake College Tournament.

I was by Medina the other day. Great seeing that lake full. Hope it stays that way and the ones in charge keep the water in and do not let it out! Great post. Will be watching the show Sunday.

When the lake we down to basiccly a small river, 99% of the strippers died off and most of the white bass as well, what did survive was a abudent population of large mouth, crappie and catfish, a good population of brood fish, when the lake filled up, there was so much brush trees and etc. that became cover for the 200, 000 of Florida s stocked, the survival rate of these fish were tremoondous as noted by the catches of 70 plus fish a day, the population has dwindled some but you can still go out and catch 30 fish a day and a few more keepers are starting to show up, there is still some giant bass in the lake as I ended the year last year with a 10 pound bass out of there and several 6 to 9pound bass being caught. There has also been a few good spawns in the lake as well. The key for this lake to continue to provide us with the memories this lake has provided so many of the years is water, the water shed is not the best and the rain has to fall in a certain area for it to really get the levels up when down, the lake is a irragation lake and the lake can survive that under normal conditions as it has since the 50s, SAWs and its growing appeitate for water can and may suck this pond dry at anytime. If the lake keeps water you will see some great fish come out, it may never produce a state record like it once did many years ago but 10 pounders are fun to.
