2000 VMAX 150 ON 2000 CHAMPION 186.......NEVER HAD A PROB. BUT JUST GOT OIL WARNING AND ENGINE TANK AT LOW MARK WITH MAIN TANK UNDER BACK DECK "1/3 FULL" ADDED OILS TO MAIN TANK......KEY ON WONT FILL ENGINE TANK NOR WILL EMERG. SWITCH ON ELECTRONIC UNIT. HAVE ONLY CHECKED VOLTAGE AT BROWN WIRE ON MAIN TANK WITH KEY ON AND EMERG. SWITCH HAD NOTHING....ANY HELP IS APPRIECIATED. GONNA CHECK THE OTHER 3 WIRED TO THE PLUG ON TANK TOMORROW

check filter on tank in boat, and check oil line not pinch are mashed

You might have air in the oil lines and may need to purge/bleed the air in order to get the engine oil tank to fill and stay filled. There should be a manual somewhere on this procedure. Easy to do on a merc engine but I don't know about a Yamaha

I had the same issue once, and I guess it is pretty common, pull your filter off the oil reservoir and replace it or blow it out with an air compressor. if still no love, pull the tank and test the pump. I hooked a 12v deer feeder battery to mine to test it. wound up rewiring the whole thing and it worked fine. if still no love, drain the oil tank that is on the motor, this will trip the little float switch telling the remote oil pump to come on. if that doesn't happen, test the float switch with a meter. that about summs it up....I think
