Getting into making YouTube vids of my crappie catchn trips.....

Any of y'all ever video your trip?

Anybody got recommendations on cameras, good or bad?

Been looking at the GoPro Hero 5......

There's a few guys on YouTube pushing for me to get into it & I'm almost ready to take on the challenge & show them how it's done...

No you won't be able to see my location so get that out of your minds....LOL

I'll be attaching the camera to a 10 or 12ft pole looking down so you'll get to see me, the water & the feesh fighting.....

Any info would help....

I got a Hero Session for Christmas, and have really enjoyed it! Video quality is incredible. I bought the chest mount, and the clip mount.

I video mine but have stopped recently just due to slower fishing time of year for me (no boat). The angle of the pole looking down will save you a lot of trouble with people looking for spots for sure LOL. I have a Go Pro hero 3 silver edition and it works great and use the head mount.

Also...since you want to film from a vantage point, you can download the Capture app...which allows you to control the GoPro from your phone. You phone screen becomes the view of your GoPro, so you can get the exact angle you are wanting, and start/stop the camera from your phone.

I bought an off brand go pro style camera on amazon If you want the link I can go through my order history. I used it for a week tarpon fishing, jet skiing and walking under waterfalls in Puerto Rico and the video quality was incredible and it was only $30 or so. May be an option if you want to see if you even enjoy videoing yourself before dumping money into the gopro.

I have the GoPro hero 4 silver and no complaints, I carry 5 battery's with me when I'm fishing because I usually fish all day when I go, I'm still learning the ropes on editing but they are a lot of fun to go back and watch them. I recently caputured my 2yr old sons first fish on camera and we watch it all the time.
