I've tried using Gary Yamamoto and Yum brand senkos, but haven't noticed any difference in fish catching ability. My buddy's say that the Yamamoto out fishes the Yums.... Anyone else se a difference in fish catching abilities?

yamamoto has a different fall rate and different action than others. the only time I throw yamamoto is if I'm wacky rigging. if I'm fishing it weighted/weedless ill go to another brand.
Cast it, reel it, jerk it.

I've used both extensively. Yamamoto have more action, sink faster, and for me catch more fish. There's a downside to that though. They fall apart VERY easily. If you're wacky rigging them without a rubber band, you will easily go through an entire bag in a day. They are also very expensive. $7 for a bag.
Yum also catch fish. They last much longer and are much cheaper, but they suffer in all other aspects from my experience.

I've got fish wacky with them all. I've only really noticed a difference when switching size. Some fall faster then other out the same bag. I've even got bulk ones off eBay that catch them the same as nyYum and Yammy ones I throw. I've caught ovee400 fish on wacky this year with 20 over 6lbs. Lol

I'll fish Yamamoto and BPS Stick-O. Not a fan of the Yums, just not enough shimmy. I remelt, and pour my own colors too using a licensed Yamamoto mold. I get close to the same action, but it uses A LOT of salt, so yes, they do fall apart with a fish or two.

I guess the real question is whether the $5-6 difference is to much to pay for your confidence when spending your day on the water . Last week , I fished 5 hours , landed almost 30 bass , nothing big , just tons of fun . Almost every bass was caught on a 5" green pumpkin , black flake Senko , wacky rigged . I ended up using the entire bag --- well worth $7.49

When I fish some lakes I agree the knock offs seem to do fine. When I'm at Fork I will only use a Senko. Seems to make a difference on the heavily pressured lakes.

I like BPS Stik-Os, Kellee Sticks (hand poured from www.lewisandwrightbft.com), and Wave brand Tiki and Bamboo Sticks.

I like the Big Bite Bait version. Cheaper and way more durable.

Gary Yamamoto by far. Agree it matters big time in heavily fished areas.
