We are camping at Kimbal Bend park for the weekend and would like to get into some Striper and or sand bass. Are there spots in the river where they hang out or are they holding to humps down in the lake. I have never fished Whitney before. I usually find sand bass and stripers around humps in main lakes. Any help would be appreciated.

I think the Kimbal area would be good from Jan-March. So you're right, they're farther south on the lake this time of year. I've seen some other posts suggesting bank access places. That said, you're best opportunity is gonna probably be in the 1st hour against a wind blown bank with birds working and top water. Hope this helps.
