I want to get some feedback on what is the best cranking battery out there. I have Interstate for the cranking now. I been satisfied thus far, but I left the power switch on and the battery drained and will not take a charge. So let me hear what you recommend. It isn't everyday I buy cranking batteries.

It may be that your charger is not "seeing" the battery. Hook this "dead" battery to another charged battery in parallel. Negative to negative and positive to positive. Then put your charger on the two batteries and let them charger overnight. The next morning disconnect the two batteries and then run your charger on this "dead" battery and see if it will take a charge.

Most chargers have a minimum voltage that they must recognize on a battery before they will start charging.

I have 4 SMR-29 in my boat now. I did try to hook a boost charger I have in the garage to it with no luck. I removed it and put it on charge by itself. I'm afraid its fried. I will try connecting two together to see if I get a different result. I'm just wondering if I should take it to an Interstate Dealer to get it checked out before I drop 200 bucks on a new one. I never had a problem until now. I am new to Interstate, since they were in my boat when I bought it. Any comments and helps are welcomed!

Put your jumper cables on it and your truck. Let it charge a few minutes then try the charger.

My G31's were nowhere near $200, closer to $125 at dealer, for 29's or smaller check Costco & dealers prices.

I took it out and hooked it up to a car charger, I'm running it on a cranking mode at 30amp. It seems to be taking the super charge, I left it on for about 10 min. Now I kicked it back down to the 2amp mode and will leave it on overnight. I checked pricing on the 29s...I'm looking at 161.00 with tax. I sure can buy a lot of baits with that money! smile

fingers crossed!
