Thanks Brad for the reply!  Johnny Bench was one heck of a catcher and had a great work ethic. A true ambassador to the sport of baseball.

SWEEEEET!!! The two you are holding Chuck almost look like redbreasts/bluegill hybrids. I see the dots on the bottom half a lot on redbreasts in different waters. Way to go, yall!

Thanks Jagg for the reply. It seems over the last several years just about all of the sunfish family has been in breeding.  Sometimes it is very difficult to I.D. fish.  One thing is for certain.  They sure fight good on an ultra light!

Thanks Gitter for the reply. The water that cay was clear and there were tree stick ups close by. There was also a drop off about 30 feet from the bank.

Those are some nice ones. Good job guys! Sunfish bite is picking up on Mcqueeney. Bluegill are still spawning. Found some nice ones in shallow coves 3 to 7 feet of water by lily pads. Also finding nice numbers on Lake Wood and Meadow Lake. Crappie bite has been fair. Taking out the kayak this week. Any updated reports on the west side of the Guadalupe? Again nice fish.

West end has been fair and the bite is picking up. I would find another place to fish. It's going to be a "Mad House"  all summer long!  Side Note: When you say Lake Wood you are meaning up river from the lake bed. Dam is still broke and the lake bed is dry!
