The game wardens were looking at the tail too, so when we got it on the live release boat I also looked at it to see if it had been cut.

Not even close. No red showing like if it had been cut recently. Nothing unusual but wasn't as clean as many bass. Could have been involved in some tail knipping months ago while spawning.

I posted this on the post about the tournament:

I talked to the guy who caught the 3.56 at Media the week before. He said it was just barely under.

The 3.43 from Saturday at the Legend. I measured it because we were wondering too. It was 15 5/8" and very stocky.

Some years back at a Skeeter a women from College Station caught a 3.50 that only went 15 1/2".

I think that TPWD should include those fat unders in their DNA profile we are doing on the overs.

Looks like a football to me. kinda expected it to have a crooked/hump back. Just a fat football. Congrats to the fisherman.
