Full disclosure - I buy $9.99's at Academy. Reason is two-fold; 1.) My foot doesn't hurt as bad when I step on them, and, 2.) I like how fast they sink when flying off my deck
During the rare times I actually get to wear sunglasses (i.e. They're not headed to - or on - the bottom of the lake, or crushed and useless) I can't see my Lowrance units. Are there any specific colors in the $2 - $10 range y'all would recommend?

Can you adjust the angle of your graph? It could be the lenses too but I thought I'd just ask because sometimes you can't see the graph at an odd angle.

Walmart in the fishing section sell Yum sunglasses. They are polorized and able to see the graph but at odd angles or off to the size you can't see it. They are $5 can't beat it.

Changing the color of the Depth Finder screen helps also.

Don't wear polarized shades. This. I was disappointed when I bought a nice pair of them and couldn't hardly see the glass panel in the airplane. My graphs were even worse.

Don't apologize for $9.99 sunglasses. I can barely read mine through $250 Costa's! :-) Polerized lenses don't mix with finder screens. Never have. In bright sun I pretty much have raise my shades up on my head.

I could barely see my humminbird's screen on the old units. When I upgraded to the helix models glasses don't matter. A different color palette should help out may be a reason to justify upgrading electronics to one with brighter screens

100% the polarized glasses. Get a second pair of glasses that are not polarized for when your not sight fishing and need to see your graph.

For sure the polarized lenses. Got some not polarized for running so I could see map on Hummingbird. Clear as can be without the polarization.

I wear Costas and have never had a problem seeing my Humminbird units. Sometimes I have to adjust the angle due to the sun though.

I found some flip ups that were polarized on ebay. Just look for fishing sunglasses and you'll find a lot there. Cheap too, only paid $13 for them.I just flip them up when I can't see the graph then flip them back down while fishing.
Never test the depth of the water with both feet.

yeah I make sure my screen angle is correct. from the sides I can't see anything. I use color palette #8 for my lowrance. the darker brown seems easier to see with shades on. but like sitting across from my buddy fishing Sat I couldn't see his screen til I moved over.
